Arcology follows in the free-form footwork of Thug Entrancer's debut album Death After Life. A narrative of an imagined alien colony existing between the fabric of known / unknown worlds, Arcology explores high tech / low life society, mechanical structures, and data-driven humanity built for clubs and alien chambers.
Data Slave Cassette (Mixware003)
Mixware is a mix tape series compiled by Software artists. Featuring new, old, and unreleased material alongside remixes, edits, and archival material, Mixware welcomes free explorations by the Software crew. Each Mixware installment is available as a free download and limited edition cassette.
Following in the footsteps of previous Mixware composers Napolian and Sculpture, Thug Entrancer crafted Data Slave out of re-structured and re-programmed compositions spanning the years 2013-2015. Inspired by insomnia and obsession, Data Slave serves as "furniture techno" - an accent table to a late night post-club come down, the treadmill for a speed run binge, or the turntable soundtracking internet compulsions.
Data Slave will be available as a free digital download and in limited cassette form on December 1, 2015 as an accompaniment to Thug Entrancer's full length album, Arcology.
When I put this album on I feel like I've been transported to another place and time. Purple pastel buildings and lights as far as the eye can see, an endless metropolis that exists as a dream. steverie
